We're back! The ship is stocked with rum (and sparkling grape juice), the hawt bois are working shirtless, and our Captain has returned!

Introduction to the Rum Pyrates Club
Welcome aboard, new Pyrates! This be your first time here? Good!

Well, the Rum Pyrates be not your normal club. We be a commenting club with a pirate theme! Yes, a pirate-commenting fun club. It might seem confusing at first, but it's really quite simple. Every week, a new deviation is chosen as a target. Then, the club mobilizes on a 'raid' - a commenting raid. We all post in-character, with pyrate accents and all. But there is a serious side to the fun - we need to comment appropriately, and keep the comments valuable. For every positive, suggest a negative. Balance the extremes, then throw in a dash of good ol'e Pyrate humor. Fun, right? If you think so, this is the club for you!

Pyrate experience not necessary! All are welcome - this isn't any serious roleplay.

How to Join
To join, send a note to the club or any of the officers. Please include your new Pyrate name. It's that easy! You can put the club icon in your journal as well. Also, it's recommended to watch the club for any updates and 'raid times.' When you join, you'll be ranked a 'Deck Swabber.' Read the rules for tips on how to advance your rank! The ranks are just for fun, more than anything, but you never know...Rewards may come to the active Pyrates!

Raiding?
Still confused about Raiding? Well, it's a chance to comment on someone's artwork while having lots of fun with friends. Every week or so we'll announce a new target, and an approximate raid time. This time is not mandatory - it's just a suggestion. You are welcome to raid-comment at any time.

What else?
There's more to the club than raiding alone! If you'd like your Pyrate deviation featured here, feel free to submit it to the club. Just send a note to the club with the title 'Submission' and the link to your picture. We'll place it here and direct all comments/favorites to your site! We only ask that it have a pirate or Rum Pyrates theme.

Additionally, if you have someone you'd like to suggest as a raid-victim, or you'd like to be a raid-victim yourself, feel free to note the suggestion! We can't guarantee anything - it depends on the length of the waiting list! And the Rum Pyrates do not raid museums - Raids are conducted on relatively new pieces. So it's more likely that you'll get your request if you suggest a deviant rather than a deviation, because chances are the deviation will be 'old' by the time we get to it! Suggest away!
